Fresh Inkling Creatives provides photography and marketing services in Southwest Wisconsin. It was established in 2010 as a photography and alphabet art hobby.

Dee Nechkash, Photographer and Communications Manager, has a degree from UW-Platteville in Communications Technology, emphasis in Journalism and minor in English. She has 10 years of professional journalism experience, including six years as editor of a weekly newspaper.

It was during her first years as a journalist that she discovered her love for photography and travel. Her work camera was stolen from her car, forcing her to purchase her first digital SLR, a Canon Rebel Xsi. Shortly after that purchase, one of the stories she reported was announcing the winner of the Wisconsin State Park Sticker design contest, a high school student in Waupun, Wis. What she learned from writing that article led her to purchase her first Wisconsin State Park annual sticker. Within the next two years she spent her spare time driving across the state to visit every state park in Wisconsin and documented her trips with photos.

She recently worked at the Platteville Regional Chamber and Travel Wisconsin Welcome Center where she enjoyed assisting travelers with brochures and maps for exploring her home state. In her spare time she assists the Platteville Community Arboretum with its marketing and design projects. Her hobbies include reading (mostly fiction), painting, writing (has penned a couple of children’s books and has started a fictional novel), graphic design projects, kayaking, biking, hiking, photography, geocaching and traveling/exploring new places.

While she has traveled extensively in Wisconsin, including all of the state parks, she has also been to 10 National Parks (so far) and explored various parts of 9 other states (so far). She has also been to the Bahamas for three vacations, too. She’s just scratched the surface of travel destinations, though. Her bucket list includes visiting all of the U.S. National Parks, exploring all 50 states and geocaching in at least 10 countries!
